Hi all,

Mark congrats on an excellent mod, its just what i needed.

Now to the help bit...

Does anyone know if its possible to perform calculations on the product type fields, really simple ones like a {Term:60*12)/52

It will make data entry faster and less prone to operator error for me.

Not really of great importance to do, limited user base.

A lot of work to satisfy one user and not easily configurable. How many people do calculations based on user types? Not many I expect!

Hello Mark and everybody

Concerning calculations and pricing, what about the famous Product Builder aka "configurator" what was discussed by you in VirtueMart Forum.

It has definitively a larger user and expected user base

Can we do this by the Product Type Modification ?
Is it another Mod ? In progress ?
Or a feature only available in the coming soon 1.1.0 VM version.

I have not had time to work on that. It will use as a base the childlist mod. But it is for building products from other products. Product types to not affect product price. Never have, never will! Too much to add in price variants based on product type, that's what attributes are used for!

It's now clear that Product type doesn't affect Product price !

By "I have not had time to work on that" (and we all guess why ), do you mean that the feature is still planned for VM 1.1, or that the mod will done before or after this release ?

Roughly, is it a question of weeks or months ?

I have not had time to work on VM1.0.x, VM1.1 or my mods, other commitments getting in the way
