Is it possible to hack the category flypages to enable the product type
output generated inside the tabs?
Other method surely to place the product type modification to be inserted
inside the each product description, but that may not be the best way and not user friendly?

If you are using a plugin such has 'Tabs and slides' then the flypages can be amended to include the output in tabs.
See the lightbox forums on how to implement, its the same method just using product types instead of images.

No Tabs and Slides, just the std. browse_1.php, is it possible, if not I'll just go down the long winded option of adding the item longhand to the product title.
