Thanks a lot for make my life easier!

I am contacting you as I am a user of VirtueMart 1.0.15 joomla 1.0.15 and I downloaded the “Child List & Quantity mod”.

When people go to see product by category the “add to cart” option appear at the button of the page. That’s fine. But I have a problem, when you go and do a search by the “search module” the articles that appear in the page have the “buy” option in each product instead of having the “add to cart” option at the button of the page.



For you to have an idea, when you look by category it appears as follows:

We need your help in order to amend this to have the “Buy” option at the botton to make an easier sale.

This happens in VM without my mod

the default category browse page is used as the default page for search results. Obviously you have created a new category browse page! But it's hard to tell without a link to the site! Images are OK but they don't tell the whole story.

2 ways to fix it.

1. Change the default category browse page in VM's configuration page. (Site tab, Category template normally browse_1)

or 2. Change your browse_1 template to match your standard category template!

The problem cannot be fixed modifying the browse_1 as in the category and in the configuration page of the VM I have the same file browse_1.php

The problem I am having as that when you go on the web to the search bottom, the “Add to Cart” is showed in each product instead of appearing at the end of the page. But, if you look for a product by category, the “Add to Cart” bottom appears at the bottom of the page.

To see what’s happening, I created a temporal user for you: (you are not able to buy if you are not a registered user)
User: mark
Password: mark123
Go to “Articulos”
Then click in any of the articles showed.
That’s the way we would like to be seen by the customers.

Now, to see the error we found, go to the “buscar” space and write, for example, “llave”.
That’s the way we do not want to showen as the “Add to Cart” is showed in each product instead of appearing at the end of the page.

I just checked and it is working!!!!

You have to log out and log in again to clear VM's cache. Also use Ctrl+F5 to clear the browser cache and check again.

I get the same results from a category page as I do from a search page. i.e. No add to cart button is showed!!

Now it doesn't work!!

But as i said, the default browse page is what is used for the search results.

If that is the same as your category browse templates then it will be the same.

Unfortunately that is the only advice I can offer. This is not a fault with any of my mods, it is just how VM works!!
